The Board is made up of six Members. NPDC and Te Kōwhatu Tū Moana (TKTM) each select three board members and an alternate. Each member holds office for a term not exceeding three years.
The current members of Te Tai Pari Board are:

Darrel Nicholas
Te Ati Awa, Taranaki, Ngati Ruanui, Ngati Haua, Ngai Te Rangi
Raised and educated in Waitara.
Self-employed since 1998 working in Finance and Real Estate.
I’m privileged to be involved in this board, to assist in the future development and growth of this community. We need to look forward and move as one collectively for the betterment of all who live here.

Graham Armstrong
Graham Armstrong, retired Chartered Accountant, lives in Waitara with his wife Judy, close to their children and grandchildren. He enjoys outdoor activities, sports, and managing a hobby farm. He’s deeply involved in Knox Church Waitara, leads financial courses, helps run Rerekapa Hut, and serves as a Justice of the Peace and a Te Tai Pari Board member.

Marion James
Marion James (née Thomson) was born and brought up in Waitara, and is in her second term on the Te Tai Pari Board. With 30+ years in Community Development, she supports organisations as a Community Advisor for the Department of Internal Affairs. Passionate about local success, she brings experience and positivity to her role. Marion enjoys travel, walking, sewing, community work, and time with her grandchildren.

Mawhaturia White
I was born and raised in Waitara and have always been a passionate advocate for our town, people, and history. I’ve been deeply involved with the Manukorihi hapū and the Manukorihi Pa Reserve Trust, alongside a long career in banking. Currently, I serve on the Te Kowhatu Tū Moana board, formed under the New Plymouth District Council (Waitara Lands) Act, which also created Te Tai Pari Board to support and uplift the Waitara community.
