Many community organisations are struggling to keep their financial heads above water with inflation and the cost of living eating into revenues.
But thanks to a grant from Te Tai Pari, the Waitara Squash Club is able to keep swinging well. Te Tai Pari offers both operational and project grants, and earlier this year, the Waitara Squash Club received a grant to cover insurance costs, one item of expenditure that has climbed significantly in recent years.
“It is fantastic for our club to receive funds to cover our Annual Insurance Premium,” club spokesperson Andrew Bannan said. “It allows us to channel any extra funds we have during the year towards any unforseen running costs and also club activities that benefit our club members along with initiatives to increase our membership numbers.”
