About Us

The Te Tai Pari Board was established as part of the New Plymouth District Council (Waitara Lands) Act 2018. The purpose of the Board is to distribute the annual release from the Waitara Perpetual Community Fund for each financial year. The annual distribution is determined by a specific NPDC calculation. This is increasing on an annual basis and is expected to eventually become around $1M annually. Currently, distributions are allocated only once a year, but as these increase in size, there may be distributions every six months.
